Ottawa University Canada, Gordon Scholarship 2023 F. Henderson Postdoctoral Scholarships

 

The Gordon F. Henderson Postdoctoral Scholarship is offered by the University of Ottawa’s Human Rights Department. The scholarship is only available to a researcher with an innovative research project related to the Human Rights Research and Education Centre’s mandate (HRREC).

Level of Education:

Ottawa University Postdoctoral Fellowships Gordon Canada F. Henderson Scholarship 2023 is available for postdoctoral studies at the University of Ottawa.

This scholarship program allows you to study the following subjects.

 

Civil Liberties

Scholarship Advantages:

The CAD$42,000 scholarship will be paid according to terms agreed upon between the Postdoctoral fellow and the HRREC. The Gordon F. Henderson Postdoctoral Fellowship does not cover the recipient’s travel expenses (to or from Ottawa or back to the Fellow’s home country).

A concise cover letter;

a current curriculum vitae;

A five-page synopsis of his or her doctoral dissertation;

The thesis examination committee’s written comments;

two recommendation letters;

A five-page research proposal outlining the Postdoctoral project, its goals, and expected outcomes.

Criteria for Eligibility:

The candidate’s name is:

 

Will have earned a doctorate no more than five years before December 31, 2022, and will have presented his or her thesis by April 30, 2022. Candidates with a doctorate from the University of Ottawa or a joint degree program with the University of Ottawa are ineligible for this competition.

Accepts the scholarship and agrees to work at the HRREC for the duration of the scholarship;

Accepts to contribute to the HRREC’s development and scholarly activities by engaging in an original research program that is distinct from previous research.

Both Canadian citizens and non-citizens are eligible to compete for the scholarship. Foreign candidates must demonstrate that they are likely to obtain a one-year permit to reside in Canada.
